LOW MORTGAGE RATES FOR THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE

LOW RATES FOR THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE

Here is some interesting information from our friend in the mortgage industry:

The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note continues to hang near 2%. Not surprisingly, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage continues to hang below 4%. As we mentioned last week, 2% on the 10-year note gets us sub-4% rate quotes on the 30-year loan.

Given the way the stock market has performed to start 2016, we expect mortgage rates to hold these lows for some time. Many investors are wary of stocks; wary investors take refuge in Treasury securities. The money that flows into these securities raises their price and lowers their yield. Because mortgage bonds take their cue from Treasury securities – the 10-year note in particular – investors are willing to accept lower-rate mortgages.

But low rates will remain in a precarious state. A big bounce in the stock market could easily lead to a big bounce in mortgage rates.   If you think now is the time to buy, visit our website and start house hunting.

Not Any Parking lot in Any Store in Any City

This could be any parking lot at any time of the day.  It could also be any parking lot late afternoon long after sunset.  It could be any store or any mall or any church parking lot.  But it is none of those. This is a typical parking lot at 6:15 in the morning in any school in the city.

Yes,while most of us are thinking about getting out of bed, you have all those dedicated teachers already preparing for the long day ahead of them.  Report cards, lesson plans, worksheets for students and all that stuff does not just appear.  All these are prepared by human hands or maybe even super-human hands and all while most of us are sleeping.

Talk about unsung heroes!  Let's not forget who laid the foundation for professionals such as your doctor, dentist, preacher, lawyer, and yes, even for these bunch of dedicated teachers. Thank a teacher for spending most of the day with our children.  It will make them feel good and it will make you feel good.

Renters want to be Buyers

94% of Young Renters Want to Buy
Nearly all renters 34 years of age or younger questioned in a new survey from the National Association of REALTORS® say they want to own a home in the future. The survey, Housing Opportunities and Market Experience (HOME), tracks topical real estate trends, and asks consumers whether or not it’s a good time to buy or sell a home and about their expectations and experiences in the mortgage market.
“Despite entering the workforce during or immediately after the worst of the financial and housing crisis, the desire to become a homeowner appears to be a personal goal for a convincing majority of young renters,” says NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun, adding that market conditions are creating a “sizeable, pent-up demand for buying.
So if this is true and it is, just go towww.MoreSanAntonioHomes.comand start your Homes for Sale in San Antonio house hunting.

Maybe you should call San Antonio home.

San Antonio is the small town type of city but yet one of the largest in the country.  It will take you a little bit of getting used to people being nice.  I think the word "friendly" was invented in Texas.  If you are planning a move, here is some great information you can use.

Trulia Housing Economist Ralph McLaughlin cast a wider net when deciding at which home markets interested him most. He looked at five metrics: strong job growth over the past year, low vacancy rates, high affordability, more inbound home searches than outbound, and a large share of millennials. He found the following markets to be poised for higher activity, and also good places to look to move:
                        Grand Rapids, MI-WY
                        Charleston, SC
                        Austin, TX
                        Baton Rouge,LA
                        San Antonio, TX
                        Colorado Springs, CO
                        Columbia, SC
                        Riverside–San Bernardino, CA
                        Las Vegas, NV
                        Tacoma, WA

Take a look and see what is available in the real estate market at www.MoreSanAntonioHomes.com and start packing.
